Well, we made it safely to Uganda. From Seattle to San Francisco, then from there, a 15-hour flight to Doha, Qatar. After a 15-hour layover, we took a flight to Entebbe, Uganda. We landed on Thursday at about 2 PM. We got to the Best Western Hotel in Entabbe and rested and then went our for a short walk to a mall, where we had dinner. Sleeping through the night is still a bit of a challenge due to the time difference. We are 10 hours ahead of the time at home. Yesterday, Friday, we had lunch with Pastor Zeddie of Calvary Chapel Kampala. We always enjoy our time with him. We brought gifts for him and his wife Hope and his 5 boys. I will teach at the Bible college at his church on Saturday, May 5th, and preach at 2 Sunday services on May the 7th.
So, in a couple of hours Pastor Charles from the village of Buwama will pick us up and we will spend the night there and I will preach on Sunday morning at his church, planted 2 years ago. We’re looking forward to being there. Following the church service we will drive with Pastor Charles and his wife Levenia to the city of Jinja, where the Pastors and Wives retreat will take place.
We have a great deal of good things ahead of us. Thanks for the prayers. We appreciate them!
Bye for now,
David
