About to Head Out

It is Sunday, March 8 and I will soon be leaving home for the airport where I will begin the journey to India and Nepal. A couple of weeks ago I was all set to go, with all flights and accommodations set. But suddenly the conflict arose in Iran and forced me to pivot quickly. I had been booked on Emirates, with a night in Dubai on the way. But I had to cancel the flight after conferring with Debbie and some close friends who were urging me to avoid the gulf countries. So, after cancelling, I booked on Eva Air, an Asian-based carrier through Taipei. It all worked out (Emirates refunded the cost of the flight the next day) and I will proceed tonight.

I will be speaking to a group of Bible College graduates in India, and meeting with church leaders. In Nepal I will conduct a 3-day seminar for pastors as well as preach at a weekend worship service and visit the orphanage we support and take the kids out to lunch. I will also visit a couple of other orphanages for a friend in the US whose charity runs them.

My request to you: please keep me in your prayers for health and safety more than anything else. Also, that my words and actions might be an inspiration to all the pastors and leaders and students I encounter.

Looking forward to see what God has planned!

Thanks and God bless you all!

David
